Stinging Insects

Bees, Wasps, and Hornets, OH MY! Although these insects look scary and can sting, it is important to remember that they all do different things in life.  Honey bees are vital pollinators and aid the growth of plant life including the food we eat here in Pennsylvania! Yelllow Jackets are notorious for being the most aggressive of the stinging insects.

Although stinging insects can offer a wide variety of benefits, they can also be a nuisance.  When they feel threatened, they will protect their nest at all costs, even swarming in the hundreds at times.  If a nest is even unintentionally disturbed, they can swarm and enough of the stings can send an individual into anaphylaxis shock. It is best to leave this one to the professionals here at Shoreline Pest Solutions. Contact us to eliminate your stinging insect problem!
